Casa Mañana
Casa Mañana, one of the 13 restaurants on the Salsa Trail, serves up great Mexican food Monday through Saturday! Casa Mañana has been open since 1951. People lined up outside to get their hands on some of their favorite entrees that the original owners Gabby and Emma Gabaldon would serve. Through the years the restaurant changed ownership and the recipes changed too.
When current owner Diane Hoopes and her son Adam, head chef, bought the restaurant they made it their mission to track down as many of the Gabaldon’s original recipes as she could.
They hired a cook who had been trained by the Gabaldons to recreate the dishes, and did taste test after taste test to ensure that the food was a close to the original recipe as possible. Now Casa Mañana serves the famous Gabaldons' Shredded Beef along with several other original recipes.
